Breast
Breast augmentation in Seattle.
Augmentation adds volume with an implant or with your own fat. The size is chosen against your frame and measurements, not a cup letter.

My note
Most people worry about two things: looking too big, and looking done. Both come from choosing a size before measuring a chest. I measure first, then we try sizers together.
I will also talk about the implant's future: they are not lifetime devices, and you should know that before, not after.
Dr. Thea Kinnear
Who it suits
- Breasts that feel small for your frame
- Volume lost after pregnancy, nursing or weight loss
- A noticeable difference in size between the two sides
What I will ask you
- What you want clothes to look like, not just a size
- Measurements of your chest wall and skin
- Your plans for pregnancy or nursing, if any
- Your feelings about implants versus fat transfer
The day
- General anesthesia in our accredited suite
- Usually one to two hours; your plan gives your time
- You go home the same day with a support bra and written care
Recovery, week by week
- First weekTightness and soreness across the chest. Short walks, no lifting.
- Weeks two to threeMany people return to desk work. No heavy lifting or upper body exercise.
- Week sixMost return to full exercise once cleared at the follow-up.
- Months three to sixImplants settle into their final position.
A typical course, not a promise. Your own calendar comes with your plan.
Fee
From $ owner to $ owner
One written fee: surgeon, anesthesia and the surgical suite. Paying over time
What moves the fee within that range:
- Implant type, or fat transfer
- Whether a lift is needed at the same time
- Anesthesia and facility time
Risks
Risks include capsular contracture (scar tissue tightening around the implant), implant rupture, change in nipple sensation, asymmetry, and the need for future surgery. Breast implants are not lifetime devices. We give you the manufacturer's information to read at home.
No result can be guaranteed. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons publishes plain-language patient information at plasticsurgery.org.
A patient letter
I asked for natural and I was scared that meant small. She measured, we tried sizers, and I chose the one that looked like me.
Questions
How do I choose a size?
We measure your chest, then you try sizers in a fitted top in the room. You can take photos home and decide later.
Can I breastfeed afterwards?
Many people can, especially with an incision that avoids the nipple area. We talk about your plans at the consultation.
